Start a poem with a word that begins with the letter 'A', moving along the alphabet (English, please) for each successive word.  The poem must follow these directions and must make sense somehow.

For example
All brown cows dive Enigmatically
Forward, going
Heavy into jumps,
Kaleidoscopic.

That's A through K. How far can you get?

(The first student who gets to Z will receive a starbucks gift card and a 'Do Good Lottery' ticket !!  Remember, poetry can be abstract, but good poetry always makes sense somehow...your poem must make sense - this means you may be asked to provide an explanation !)

All brown cats descend,
Elaborately from goats,
Having intense jurisdiction.
Killing lilac muffins,
Not opening potatoes.
Quietly ransacking soggy tacos,
Under vaporized waters.
Xraying yellow zebras

Rayne
I think this works for the most, except that last line. It is hanging on its own, but it doesn't make sense by itself. Did you intend that, and if so, explain!

Okay so the cats that descended from goats, while they were killing lilac muffins they were also xraying yellow zebras because zebras normally arent yellow. I was going to add more going back to Y and so on, but i didnt know if i could.

A big cat died early from gangrene held in Jessie's knee. Life means nothing opening packages quietly resting sadly there under valiant wastebaskets.

All Black. Crushes, Devoures,
Eats Fire. Great Heads
Insults, Jests. Knocks Loudly
Malicious Names. Obliterates Planets
Quickly Ravages. Spreads Terror
Unlimited, Violent. Wails, Xyloid
Yells, Zealous
translation: a black monster with wood like skin. It has a large head and devours all in its path. It destroys all hope, laughs at its victims, and it eats fire.

"Snowflakes

Astonishingly beautiful
Cold, darting
Exciting frost
Graceful heavens
Icy jewels
Keen lace
Majestic needles of pretty, quiet,
Raining snow
Turning under
Vibrant Winds
Xciting,
yearly
Zany"

This asked for a lot of thinking:D

A bright color darkens enevitable failure. Giving hue; injecting jagged kisses; leaving mourns neglected; only purfuming quietly remains smelling torchourusly undernieth vague, watered-down xcellence, yelling zealessly, a burried carcus drownding endless failure.

It's a little more than you asked for but 26 words wasnt enough:P

Abigale began chewing dried elastic fruit
gorse her intuition jabbed
kiwi looked more nutritious
over powered queens rise storms to usher very
dry elastic kiwi to an early grave

Well maybe if I took a few years I could come up with an ending that stuck to the parameters but I tried to get it as far a possible, I must add it is quite weird looking back at how it progressed.

Adam brought cans dripping elastic freely grossly heavily into junk knobs laminating monsterous narrow openings pricking quiet somehow through unthinkable volts within x-ray yelling zippers

"monstrous narrow"...I think that's an oxymoron! And poetic, indeed.

All belief can dramatically expunge feuds
Gravely heightening intimidating jeopardy.
Killing lovely monologues notably objective,
Perpetually quenching redundant, senseless thirst
Uninterestingly vanquishing woes (of)
Xenophobic youthful zeitgeist.

Real success comes in small portions day by day. You need to take pleasure in life's daily little treasures. It is the most important thing in measuring success.
